October 2, 2004 -- City & Suburban Federal Savings Bank (C&S) Opens New Bank Branch In New York City's Upper East Side
Bank Branch Has High ¨CTech Security and Crime Prevention Technology Making It One of the Safest Banks In New York City
City & Suburban Federal Savings Bank introduces it's special brand of neighborhood banking as it opens its newest branch in New York City's Upper East Side at 1404 2nd Avenue at East 73rd Street.
At its grand opening celebration C&S provided free gifts to its banking customers from its neighborhood partners Gracious Home and FreshDirect. Customers also received special grand opening rates when opening checking and savings accounts, and when opening power CD accounts.
"We have a long and proud history of service to New York City residents, and we're especially pleased to continue to be an integral part of the Upper East Side by opening, in addition to our 86th Street branch, our newest high ¨C tech bank branch here on Second Avenue. " explains Thomas Schettino, President and Chief Managing Officer at City & Suburban Federal Savings Bank.
C&S's newest bank branch offers a variety of services for its customers, including high ¨C interest power checking, the popular free checking account, ATM services, as well as the traditional passbook savings account. All platform representatives at the branch are licensed New York State insurance agents who can advise our customers. Most importantly, City & Suburban's high ¨C tech security makes this bank branch one of the safest in the city of New York.
"Our newest bank branch has the most advanced bulletproof teller windows," says City & Suburban Senior Vice President Richard Karpowich. "We have also incorporated the latest technology in high-speed, high-resolution enhanced imaging digital cameras, making grainy black and white surveillance images a thing of the past and aimed at deterring crime. Our cameras are on constantly, which means added security.
"They do not sequentially move from one camera to the next, so you no longer have as much as 25 to 30 seconds between pictures," Mr. Karpowich continues. "Each camera is taking a picture 100% of the time. The branch is the latest of City & Suburban Federal Savings Bank to have this high-tech security and crime prevention technology that provides safety for both bank employees and our customers."
" We are very pleased to bring our special brand of neighborhood banking to residents and businesses at our newest bank branch," said John Blake, C&S's Second Avenue Bank Branch Manager.
City & Suburban Federal Savings Bank was founded in 1884 as the original Tremont Savings and Loan Association, providing mortgages and traditional banking services to residents of the Tremont section of the Bronx. Since that time the Bank has expanded, and in 1988 it converted from a Mutual to a privately held stock institution, and adopted its current name.
