From D-Link's press release:

D-Link, today announced the Industry's first 802.11g Wireless Internet Security Camera with remote pan, tilt and zoom features. The new D-Link Wireless Internet Security Camera (DCS-5300G) is the newest member of the award-winning SECURICAM Network line, providing users with remote control of live, high-quality, streaming video from a web browser anywhere in the world.

The new D-Link SECURICAM Wireless Internet Security Camera connects to the network over 802.11g wireless or wired Ethernet to stream live video feeds of up to 30 frames per second with up to 640 x 480 resolution using advanced MPEG-4 video compression. The new camera comes equipped with advanced Charge Coupled Device (CCD) sensor technology to deliver clear, crisp images in areas of low light, and also includes an integrated microphone for audio surveillance. With up to 270° pan, 90° tilt, and 4x digital zoom users have the ability to scan an expansive room or office from top to bottom for powerful and convenient remote surveillance.

"Business owners and integrators are looking for more powerful and robust surveillance solutions with Internet monitoring capability," said Steven Joe, President and CEO, D-Link Systems, Inc. "The integration of standards-based 802.11g wireless combined with the camera's other advanced features, including pan, tilt and CCD technology, make this new Internet Camera an extremely advanced and scalable security solution."

The D-Link DCS-5300G 802.11g Wireless SECURICAM Internet Security Camera enables users to set up a powerful video monitoring system that can be accessed from virtually any Internet location. Using 802.11 standards-based technology, the camera is 100% compatible with both 802.11g and 802.11b wireless networks and includes advanced wireless security features such as SSID filtering and 64/128 bit WEP encryption to ensure the security of the wireless transmissions. The included IP surveillance software allows users to monitor and control up to 16 cameras simultaneously and features a one-touch multiple camera upgrade wizard, making it extremely easy and convenient to upgrade firmware across up to 16 cameras at once.

With web server, IP address, e-mail and monitoring software integrated directly into the new Internet security camera, users simply open a standard web browser and type in the camera's unique IP address to view the streaming video from a remote or network connected PC. A FREE Dynamic Domain Name Service (DDNS) utility built into the camera's web server allows the user to input a personal web address (e.g. http://me.dlink.freedynamicdns.com) from which the camera's live video can be seen over the Internet. Unlike similar cameras that require a paid DDNS service, the D-Link DCS-5300G includes everything needed to stream video outside the home or office network.

The new D-Link Wireless Internet Security Camera features a motorized Pan and Tilt function which can be operated remotely from a web browser or from the included pocket-sized remote control for adjustment of the camera angles. In addition, the built-in 4X digital zoom allows users to zoom in on the videostream remotely.

The D-Link DCS-5300G Internet Security Camera offers multiple viewing and recording options for advanced security and flexibility. The new camera provides advanced MPEG-4 video compression that allows the recording of up to eight hours of video onto just 500MB of hard drive space. Videostreams and image snapshots from the D-Link DCS-5300G can be recorded at preset intervals and stored onto a hard drive. The camera can be configured to send email alarm messages to a denoted address whenever it detects motion in an indicated field-of-view, and can even attach a snapshot of the triggered event. The camera's built-in UPnP support allows Windows XP/Me users a configuration-free installation, automatically recognizing and configuring multiple cameras for instant viewing access from My Network Places.

Integrated microphone and Audio/Video outputs can also be connected for remote broadcasting to a television, video cassette recorder, or even a DVD-recorder to create a recording and playback environment in an on-site surveillance installation environment.

The D-Link DCS-5300G High-Speed Wireless SecuriCam Internet Camera will be available in mid August through authorized retail, reseller and distribution partners at $549.99 Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) and comes with a 1 Year Warranty and free 24/7 technical support including firmware updates.
