Leica Microsystems is pleased to introduce the new DC 300FX and DC 350FX digital camera systems. The DC 300FX is a 1.4 Megapixel, cooled color digital camera that offers superior imaging for documentation and publication. The DC 350FX is a 1.4 Megapixel, cooled monochrome camera that offers near-infrared sensitivity for analysis and quantification.
These two PC-compatible cameras address the need for a series of high sensitivity digital cameras. Leica Microsystems' digital camera line is the most complete line of digital cameras assembled by a microscope manufacturer to address a full spectrum of customer needs.
The DC 300FX/350FX offer 12 bits per color for precise image replication and the assurance that the most minute image details are acquired for accurate quantification. The Leica DC series cameras are builtwith the newest advances in CCD sensor design.
The new Leica DC FX series provides a new level of quantitative cameras designed for users involved with live cell fluorescence. With quantum efficiency in excess of 50% from 400nm to 750nm, users can now enjoy faster exposure times and greater sensitivity up to near-infrared. A new Peltier cooling system has also been integrated to offer exposure times up to 600 seconds with increased dynamic range while eliminating thermal background noise.
The new Leica DC FX cameras offer these benefits in a camera the size of a computer mouse. Like all Leica digital cameras, there is no external power supply required, which allows greater working space.
