Tattile Introduces the World's First Family of Advanced Giga Ethernet IP Cameras Monday 24th, TAGT Family Sets a New Industry Standard for Machine Vision and Security Market Brescia, Italy. June 3th, 2004-Tattile, a leading global manufacturer of innovative machine vision systems and cameras, has announced the launch of its family of thirteen TAGT digital IP cameras based on the Giga Ethernet standard. These next generation cameras confirm Tattile's position at the forefront of the machine vision industry. The TAGT family of cameras integrates the power of Giga Ethernet into compact digital cameras. TAGT cameras transfer images at 1000 Mbps over 100 meters on economic standard CAT5 cables directly through the Ethernet port to your PC - without a frame-grabber. TAGT cameras also use standard Giga Ethernet Switches to create networks of cameras. The TAGT cameras are software configurable (shutter, gain, etc.) and have two I/O for seamless integration. Robert Fenwick-Smith, Managing Director of Tattile, explained: "With the TAGT family of Giga Ethernet cameras, Tattile introduces a product anticipated by most experts in the Vision Industry. The move to Giga Ethernet is a natural one and finally provides a solution that relies on the globally adopted Ethernet standard instead of special vision-only solutions like IEEE 1394 or Camera Link." Raymond Hegarty, Tattile International's Managing Director, commented: "We are thrilled to be the first to bring our customers the many advantages of Giga Ethernet cameras. The TAGT cameras bring long-awaited solutions at unprecedented price/performance levels." John Merva, President of Tattile USA, stated: "After pioneering intelligent cameras, Tattile is excited to continue defining the post-frame-grabber era of machine vision. The overwhelmingly positive reaction of customers at the Vision East exhibition in Boston exceeded our expectations." The TAGT family of digital cameras is available now with already thirteen models from which to choose.
