Handheld Remote Control for Comfort Home Automation/Security System

Singapore, 24 November 2003: Cytech Technology is pleased to announce the availability of its new RC01 handheld remote control for use with the the company`s Comfort Intelligent Home System. The RC01 handheld remote control allows convenient control of lighting and other appliances as well as the security system for the Comfort Intellinegtn Home System.

This remote control has 50 keys divided into 4 sections;

12 `Room` keys select rooms or appliances to be controlled. 4 Operation keys can be programmed for each room key. The 4 operations can be programmed for any function, eg control two lights or appliances for On/Off operation, or can set 4 dimming levels for a light.

16 Scene buttons activate any programmed scene. Two of the keys pressed simultaneously causes an immediate Panic Alarm in the security system.

The bottom 16 keys act as a remote keypad when pointed at a KP02 keypad. This allows the user to arm the security system or disarm it by entering their security code. The KP02 keypad has a comprehensive Voice Menu to guide the user through all operations.

The Comfort Intelligent Home System is an integrated Security and Home Automation system with Voicemail. The basic system has 8 inputs and 8 outputs, expandable to 64 inputs and outputs. Dialer to 8 numbers (telephone, central station or pager), two way X10, Infrared transmission and reception, answering machine with 8 mailboxes, and Voice Menu are standard features. Other features include the Door Station module which calls to a mobile phone when nobody is at home to allow users to talk to the visitor, Interface to lighting systems, webserver module for Internet/Intranet access, and designer Scene Control Switches.
