MPlus and ViewSonic Launch New Home Control System
MPlus Integration, Inc. a developer of software-based home network control solutions and ViewSonic(R) Corp., a worldwide leader in visual display products, today announced the V210-B1 Home Control System Bundle. With MPlus' latest home control software package and ViewSonic's 10-inch airsync(TM) V210 wireless display, the bundle manages entertainment devices and systems throughout the home through an Ethernet-based unit.

By allowing multiple displays to run on a single standard PC, the V210-B1 controls home theater, lighting, security and HVAC on a home's network. A new visual tool kit called the Tweaker(TM) offers the ability to easily customize functions without programming. In addition, the V210 can also be used to surf the web, check e-mail and look at photos from anywhere in the home.

"We are very excited about this next generation product using ViewSonic's V210 wireless display," said Joseph Storm CEO of MPlus. "We have added new Java based client software as well as the ability to run multiple panels throughout the home using a single PC."

"The V210 wireless display with MPlus home control software opens the door to a whole new world of home entertainment and systems control," said Dan Coffman, senior product manager for ViewSonic. "The bundle is faster and easier to set up than similar systems and can be customized to the user's specific needs."

MPlus will be showing a number of new options to its system during the CEDIA show in Indianapolis this week. These options include; a new serial control toolkit, multi-zone distributed audio, security/web-cam, and multi-theater interfaces.

MPlus' new Java based software runs will have the ability to run on other future devices such as cells phones and PDAs as well as Linux computers. These new options will enable control from common devices already available and will give integrators more flexibility in home control and automation design.

MPlus will be displaying this new product in the ViewSonic booth 930 at the CEDIA EXPO 2004 in Indianapolis from Sept. 10-12.
