Weaknesses: no weaknessess

Summary: I really didn't think I would enjoy the docking station as much as I am. The greatest thing for me is having the batteries charged right in the camera so it is always ready for use. Being able to view pictures on the television is awesome.Great addition to my hp camera.

Strengths: Simple, easy to use.

Weaknesses: None that I've found. Works just like it should.

Summary: I've not used a comparable product, but this seems to work just fine for my needs. Easy to use, compact, simple to hook up. The instructions were easy to follow. Have not had the oppertunity to use the remote control feature when attached to the TV, but this is one of the reasons for the purchase. I would like to easily share photos with others by displaying them on their television.

Summary: I think a docking station is a must for maximum ease of digital camera to PC connectivity. I just got this docking station, it sets up easily and works great. I would buy this and my HP 735 camera again and recommend others to consider them.

Strengths: Docking station was easy to hook-up to computer.

Weaknesses: When camers is in docking station, the LCD screen on camera is on and cannot be turned off.

Summary: I found the shipping price misleading. Docking station advertised shipping price was about 3 dollars, but when I bought item, the shipping price was approximately 10 dollars. On the plus side, item was the lowest price on internet and stores and it was easy to hook-up.

Experience: 3 Months

Strengths: Makes it easy to transfer pictures and charge the camera's batteries

Weaknesses: Doesn't seem to fully charge new high capacity NiMH cells

Summary: This camera dock makes it extremely easy to transfer pictures to your PC. Simply dock your camera, press a button, and the images are sent to your computer. Much more convenient than hooking up the Mini-B cable every time, and even a bit more convenient than using a card reader.

This device also acts as a charger; however, I haven't been to happy with its performance. I am using high capacity 2300mah NiMH batteries; I get significantly better battery life if I use my stand alone MAHA brand charger than with this dock.

Transfer speeds for images are pretty good; slightly slower than my USB2.0 card reader, but certainly acceptable.

Summary: We absolutely love the HP Photosmart 8886 Camera Dock for its ease of use, portability and all the little extras it offers. It's a great companion to our HP digital camera.
