Investigators
said a security camera at a Circle K store caught a smash-and-grab
robbery on tape early Monday morning. The video shows a man breaking
into the store near the intersection of Watervlet and Smithville
roads.
Police said the man did not want cash, but smashed a glass window in order to get cigarettes.
Officers said the man picked up a rock and tossed it through a window. They said the man climbed through, knocked over a shelf, grabbed several cartons of cigarettes and then fled the scene.
Police said the man is a white male with salt and pepper hair. They said he is about 6 feet tall and weighs around 175 to 200 pounds.
Authorities said the security camera recorded images of his car, which is described at a clean, white four-door Ford Tempo.
