Average user reviews: Description:Don't just save your data. Secure it with SimpleTech Secure Digital (SD) cards. SD features a write protect switch on the side of the card to prevent accidential overwriting of important data. SD also features cryptographic security for cop.Reviewed by: goombix from NY on Dec 24, 2004 Rating: Experience: 4 Days Strengths: Reliable, dependable, never had an incident of fragmented or corrupt data that allegedly happens with other SD memory cards. Weaknesses: None encountered so far. Summary: This is my second SimpleTech Secure Digital Memory Card. So far, it has been working great. I specifically picked out the SimpleTech brand because I already owned a 128MB for the last year and a half that worked wonderfully and I just needed a spare card to take lots of pictures while on vacation. I had heard (from several other people) that some of the other brands (which cost more) aren't as reliable because the data gets fragmented or corrupted or something to that effect. I have never experienced that with this card. I own 3 SD memory cards and 2 of them are by SimpleTech. Both work great. If you look around online, you'll see that you can get good deals on these- you'll pay much less for these SimpleTech cards than for some unknown card of questionable quality with a totally inflated price at a local electronics chain/shop. As soon as you snap the picture, the data writes to the card quite quickly. It comes with a lifetime warranty. Others have 5 year warranties or so. Not that anyone ever uses the same piece of technology for more than 5 years, but anyway, it does come with a lifetime guarantee. Overall, this is a great product that definitely can be trusted for your precious vacation photos. Reviewed by: advantech1 from AZ on Jan 12, 2005 Rating: Experience: 1 Days Strengths: the product does what is says its gonna do. Buying unknown devices from Walmart produces undesired results. The HP forum recommended buying SimpleTech, which produces the results I wanted. Weaknesses: Great product, no weaknesses. Summary: The entire buying process was great. The product arrived when promised, and worked exactly was it was suppose to. I was satisfied with Pricegrabber and Buy dot com. The only small confusion I had was with shipping. I did not know if the shipper was UPS or USPS? Out here in the desert of NE Arizona, we only get UPS (phys location) or USPS by PO Box only. I didnt know how I was receiving package. The package did show up on my desk when promised. |
