This unit can be mounted on a ceiling but does require an external power source. This means you MUST have a power wire attached to the Sprinkler Head Camera and the external 2.4GHz transmitter. Most people install these hidden cameras where the space above the ceiling is easily accessible. This model comes with a 6ft. power cable that you must attach to an electrical outlet. Longer lengths of cable are available.
"Wireless" does not mean "cordless"
