Product Description

PHILIPS / MAGNAVOX LTC 1461-20, WEATHERPROOF FLEXIDOME XT COLOR

For virtually any indoor or outdoor security surveillance application where fierce weather or vandalism is a concern, the Bosch LTC 1461-21 FlexiDomeXT Color Dome Camera is your answer. The LTC 1461-21 is a full-featured, integrated color camera in a cast-aluminum housing with a polycarbonate dome that can withstand the equivalent of 120-pounds of force. This fixed dome camera is perfect for rugged indoor and outdoor applications such as casinos, banks, hotels, prisons, parking garage, retail and commercial installations. Vandalism- and weather-resistant, the LTC 1461-21's dome is sealed for outdoor use with a protection rating of IP66.

This color camera utilizes a 0.25-inch CCD (charge-coupled device) sensor, with a 1/60 to 1/100,000-of-a-second shutter speed according to the EIA (Electronic Industrial Alliance) standard. This produces a resolution of 540 TVL (TV-lines) with a S/N (signal to noise) ratio of 48 dB standard and 18 dB maximum for the AGC (Automatic Gain Control). The IP66 (Ingress Protection) rating means this unit has a protection level of six against solid-body ingress, and a protection level of six against the ingress of water. Six is the top protection level against solid bodies, meaning the dome is certified dust proof. A protection level of six against water ingress means this unit will protect your camera against strong water jets from any direction, as well as limited-time submersion in water up to one meter deep. The LTC 1461-21 comes with a varifocal DC-iris lens with a range from 2.8 to 6 millimeters that allows an up to 4.3x zoom, and has a light sensitivity of one Lux to achieve a minimal usable picture and eight Lux to achieve full video. With additional features such as automatic white balance, backlight compensation, and line-lock with phase adjustments, this camera provides high-quality configurable pictures. The LTC 1461-21 is both AC and DC compatible and can operate in temperatures from -30 to 50-degrees Celsius.

Technical Features:

  • Sensitivity: down to one Lux for usable picture and eight Lux for full video
  • Horizontal resolution: 540 TVL
  • S/N ratio: 48 dB regularly; 18 dB maximum for AGC
  • Zoom: up to 4.3x optical
  • Dimensions: approximately 9 x 6 centimeters (Diameter x H)
In short, the LTC 1461-21 is a reliable and hardy addition to any security system. Designed to withstand punishment from both individuals and mother nature, this camera comes completely assembled and ready to install, with an adjustable view that lets you choose the precise camera angle you need for your installation. Users should note, however, that the CCD sensor may become permanently damaged if exposed to long hours of direct sunlight or halogen light.

About Surveillance Camera Technical Features
Lux rating is the measurement used to indicate how sensitive a camera is to light, and stands for the level of light reflected off a piece of paper by a candle from one meter away. Thus a sensitivity of three Lux would mean a camera could generate an acceptable picture of a piece-of-paper-sized object that was illuminated by the equivalent of three candles from one meter away. The lower the Lux level, the better the camera's ability to work in low-light conditions. The camera's resolution should be greater than or equal to the resolution supported by the system's recorder or monitor. The S/N, or signal to noise ratio, is an important measure of a camera's quality. A poor camera, low-light conditions or poor wiring causes "noise" which consumes processing power and disk space. A camera with a wide dynamic range is ideal, especially for recording areas in which both indoor and outdoor light are present. CCD (charge-coupled device) sensors provide high-quality images that are less susceptible to noise. CMOS (complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor) sensors offer less image quality, but are usually more cost-effective and energy efficient.

About Dome Cameras
A dome camera is one of the most common indoor security camera styles. Mounted on the ceiling, and often built to be tamper-resistant, dome cameras are designed to be visually appealing and more secure than other types of security cameras. A true dome camera enables a continuous 360-degree pan and 90-degree tilt operation, providing for extensive room coverage. One disadvantage of dome cameras is that they usually are not suitable for low-light conditions and must be used in well-lit areas.

Features:
  • 0.25-inch interline transfer CCD image sensor
  • Weatherproof and vandal-resistant housing withstands 120-pounds of force
  • Light sensitivity allows camera to receive acceptable picture down to 1 Lux
  • Auto-iris vari-focal lens with range from 2.8 to 6 millimeters
  • High-quality camera, operates from - 30 to 50 degrees C
