Customer Reviews: - Read this for your own edification.

1) incredibly small - inside dimensions about 34" x 34" and the small slats make it look like a high security prison.
2) difficult to move from room to room. bulky and surprisingly heavy for its diminutive size, even disassembled.
3) ugly, bulky plastic. not attractive unless you live in a plastic house. the inexpensive metal cages look much better.
4) ignore the review that says 'just hose it down for cleaning' - screws and moving metal parts will rust and water will be retained in the hollow housing.
I'm not sure about the flowery reviews above, but I suspect Richell's marketing reps wrote most.
This piece will wind up in the recycle yard. Junk....more info - LOVE IT
I love love love this playpen. My 4 month old Yorkie stays there while I am at work and she has plenty of room for her bed, food and water and a little carpet to stretch or play with her toys. It is easy to put together, it is sturdy and I love the fact that she cannot get out and chew my base boards (she loves to do that sometimes). I highly recommend this product. There is nothing better than this ...trust me, I looked...plus you will save over $50 buying it through Amazon, because this item sells at Petsmart website for over $165!...more info - Playpen above average
Service was great and the playpen looks really nice in our mountain home. My little dogs love it. It's built of sturdy plastic rather than the typical industrial looking wire and it fits right in with our other furnishings. It's easy to assemble and I like the way the gate opens. Sure there are cheaper pet playpens but many of them have the bar across the top of the gate forcing you to crawl into the pen to clean it. The Richell pet playpen is definitely top of the line.

This playpen was very sturdy and well made. It could not easily be moved by the pet. I did end up sending it back only because my puppy was leaping over the side. With a different pet, I would definitely consider purchasing again. ...more info - Super, but not climb-proof
This is a great pen. Easy to set up, somewhat easy to take down. Lightweight and simple to move around. The door is fantastic. Perhaps our 4-month-old mini dachshund is just overly clever. Notice in the picture that in the corners there are vertical openings with the bottom slightly elevated compared to the rest of the slats (the elevated bottoms are where the corners connect when you put it together). She put a back foot on that "step" created by the connector and, having a long body, was able to reach the top and scramble enough to pull herself over. It's too bad they didn't enclose the corner areas completely and make them solid. However, I think this weakness might be very specific to long-bodied dachshunds. I'd be surprised if a yorkie puppy or the like could use that boost to actually get out. We solved the problem by putting a board over the top. I think this pen is far superior to any metal crates or cages--there are no places where an escape artist can get a paw caught or twisted, and no places for them to chew on it. If your puppy gets out, consider either covering those openings or putting any kind of top on it--it's still the best pen around, in my opinion. More attractive than metal, too....more info
