The Mace CAM62 Vandal Proof varifocal Outdoor Color Dome Camera is a compact, cost-effective solution for most any remote monitoring needs. This dome camera contains state-of-the-art 3-Axis pan, tilt, and twist features, including rotational twisting camera optics, and is weather-resistant, allowing it to be installed in both indoor and outdoor applications. Designed to protect your camera against vandalism, the Mace CAM62 has an extremely high resolution that makes it well-suited to security surveillance of an area in your home or business, especially when intentional tampering is a concern.

This dome camera utilizes a 0.33-inch color Sony super-head CCD (charge-coupled device) image sensor, with 297,000 effective pixels. Constructed with a four to nine-millimeter varifocal auto-iris lens, the Mace CAM62 has an excellent resolution of 480 horizontal TVL (TV lines), and achieves a S/N (signal-to-noise) ratio of 45 dB or better. This unit is good in low-light with a minimum illumination of 0.7 Lux in color, and operates on the NTSC signal format. The CAM62 features a tri-axis lens mount and the ability to pan, tilt, or twist to cover almost any angle in a room. This unit uses a standard video output, runs on 12-volts of DC power, and can operate in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius. The CAM62 comes complete with automatic white balance and backlight compensation, and a built-in automatic electronic shutter with speeds ranging from 1/50 to 1/100,000 of a second.

Lux rating is the measurement used to indicate how sensitive a camera is to light, and stands for the level of light reflected off a piece of paper by a candle from one meter away.
