Introducing the SC-1000: This kit is a complete wireless security system that can be installed in less than one hour. With a motion sensor and two door/window sensors, the system covers an averaged size home, in addition, with other available accessories and sensors, the SC-1000 is suitable for Homes, Business Offices, 24-hour stores, Retail Operations, etc., or wherever security is a concern. The Control Panel can control up to 24 different sensors, including door/window sensors, motion sensors, flood sensors, smoke sensors, temperature sensors, etc. If any of these sensors are triggered when the system is armed, the siren will sound and a wireless signal will be sent to the dialer that will call for help at the same time. You can program the emergency dialer with 9 different phone numbers including your own cellular phone, pager, your doctor, relatives, friends, neighbors, etc. Once the recipient picks up the phone, the emergency dialer will play your pre-recorded message and inform the recipient that you are in an emergency situation and to send help right away. Customer Reviews:
  • Effective remote monitoring system
This system is ideal if you want to be notified if there's is a break in, but don't want to pay an arm and a leg, plus your first born for the service.

It can call multiple numbers with a pre-recorded message to let your friends, family and you etc, know that there's a break in. You can set the order or frequency of calls to the programmed numbers. It can be set to silent or audible alarms and you can add vibration, smoke , temprature detector etc, modules to it.

You can set different zones to react instantly or to count down before going off. In addition you can slowly keep growing/adding on security sensors as your budget allow.

I've been using it for some months now with no problems and its real, real, easy to configure. I had one issue with it however and it's not a unique problem to the device. Be careful where you put the motion sensor or you'll get constant false alarms. Light reflecting through your windows/glass doors could set it off. Have it face inwards and away from mirrors that can 'see' the windows/glassdoors. Forgetting to turn off the ceiling fan caught me in the first few days. Apparently it was turning the pages on a magazine in some cases, and moving the curtains in the next.

Finally, it has a wide detection arc, so really think about where you are placing it(motion sensor).

Did I also mention that it uses 9volt batteries as backup power, though I am not sure how long that last or if it can recharge rechargable ones....more info
