  • Great Wireless Mouse
This is a great wireless mouse. Fits great in my hand, works great, completely plug and play....more info
  • Simply wonderful.
I had originally planned to purchase a Mighty Mouse for my Mac, but the price made me look elsewhere. I found this mouse and fell in love. It is an excellent wired-wireless solution. The small size and ergonomic design make it excellent for travel. It's very easy to use: none of the parts get stuck. The battery life is also excellent. I am sure to replace the USB adapter when I'm not using the mouse, to help save the battery life, but the automatic sleep mode catches me when I forget. My only complaint is that the USB cord is a bit short; my USB port is on the left side of my laptop, and I'm right-handed. It is long enough, though; I would simply prefer longer. The scroll wheel isn't as exciting as the scroll ball of the Mighty Mouse (360° rotation would be wonderful), but it works extremely well. The top and bottom are held together with magnets, so there is not chance of damaging the mouse when you open it. If you're considering a wireless mouse, purchase this one! It's worth every penny!...more info
  • Poor scroll wheel
The concept is great, and the cursor tracking works well. However, the scroll wheel is almost nonfunctional compared with an Apple mouse....more info
  • Works great at first
I bought this mouse as a Christmas present for my mom. It is a great looking mouse and the back-up USB feature is great. It worked great at first but after about 9 months of use the outer rubber (the black covering around the entire mouse) covering and the rubber covering around the scroll wheel began to melt off, so we ended up just having to tear the whole outer covering off, leaving an orange plastic cover.

I'm going to purchase another mouse, but I won't buy another one with a flimsy outer covering. It works well at first but don't expect it to last in the long run....more info

  • Orange Stains After A Short Time...
I hadn't seen this mentioned in the other reviews, but I had a problem with the orange one getting dirty on the sides. I've used it less than 2 weeks and where you hold it on the sides has darkened enough to be unsightly. The orange I paid more for no longer looks spiffy, but worn, grungy and dirty. The orange material is rubbery and there seems to be no way to clean it off. I hate to see what it would look like with 6 months of use. The company was nice enough to send me a replacement black cover, but be aware if you prefer the orange, it might not look pretty for long.

I have to say I absolutely love this mouse otherwise though. Don't know what took me so long to go wireless, but it performs beautifully, and powers down when not in use to save the batteries and sensor. I'm using it on a desktop MAC G5.

Edited to add where my thumb rests on the side of the mouse the rubber is totally disintegrating. You can just rub it off in balls of rubber it became so soft there. There's a large indentation on that side. I can't be the only one, and I don't work with any chemicals that would do that. Kensington has great customer service and sent me a new black one, but please be aware this might happen!...more info
  • works great with my macbook
if you have a laptop & spend much time on it do yourself (and your right hand) a favor & get a mouse like this one, which is very comfortable & gives you much finer control than the trackpad. i have a little tilted table with just enough room for my mouse & it's very comfortable. i haven't used the usb wire but the batteries last a couple of months or so, not bad. it will scroll sideways if you hold down the shift key & use the wheel. seems durable....more info
  • Hardware OK, driver doesn't work
The mouse and RF receiver work well as a "standard" 2 button mouse. The Kensington MouseWorks 6.2 software will not function on my W2K-SP4 system. Because of that, the scroll wheel button can not be programmed to perform any function. Even the driver for my corded 3-button mouse will not recognize the scroll wheel button on the Ci75. So I cannot perform a double-click with the middle button, which is a major pain, and I will probably toss this mouse in the garbage.

Kensington tech support claims this is a 2 button mouse, even though the web site says its a 3 button. It actually has a side click button on the wheel, making it a 4 button mouse. But Kensington does not offer a driver for this model, so those extra buttons are non functional.

The receiver sensitivity is good, 5 feet or more. The buttons are a bit mushy and ambiguous, sometimes missing a click or a scroll, but not too often.

  • One Great Mouse
I bought this as a replacement for Logitech wireless travel mouse which was very small. This time around I didn't want to get the super small ones because it was just too uncomfortable to use especially during long use.

With the Kensington, it's flat and wide but surprisely comfortable to use and hold. At first I had doubts because I figure it had to contour to your hand in order to be comfortable. But that's not the case with this mouse.

The best part about this mouse is that it has the cord as the backup if your battery runs out. Everything you need include the cord and receive is all hiden inside the mouse. Purely engenius! I can't tell how many times my batteries ran out at the most critical time and search for batteries.

Kinsington mice are very high in quality. I have an older desktop mouse and it is one of the most comfortable and long lasting mouse of all. I have used Logitech, Microsoft, and other brands and Kinsington is the best.

I highly recommend this mouse....more info
  • Beautiful Design
This is an incredible little mouse. Great looking sleek design, space saving profile for travel. The shape and the low profile have taken a little getting used to but it is no big deal. It is extremely accurate and beats the pants off of the Microsoft Wireless Desktop set that I use on my main computer. Yes, rewinding the optional cable can be a little tricky but it just isn't that tough to accomplish and certainly is not enough to make me whine about it. All in all a great little product. I wish other companies would design so well....more info
  • Best cordless mouse on the planet
This is a great mouse. It's thin, it's comfortable and it works!
It has a magnetic top so you can open it up to change the batteries.
AAA batteries last forever. But if you're on a deserted island and your batteries die... there's a cord wound up inside so you can plug it in to your laptop. I love good thoughtful design!!

My friend's dog ate my first one so I bought another one just like it.
I would definitely buy it again in the event of another dog episode.

  • Cool gadget
Great mouse with no more wires. Sleek an stylish in appearance and works better than a corded mouse. Smaller, lighter and quicker and can be used with laptops or desk tops as long as you have a USB port. The USB adapter is also cool in appearance but seems a bit fragile....more info
  • Effortless!
This little guy works the first time and every time without a hitch. Just plug the wireless receiver into the USB port and it goes to work instantly. Its compact design is very functional and it looks cool too. Despite some other reviews, I do not find the size of the USB receiver a problem because I only use the mouse when my laptop is on my desk.

One word of caution is to unplug the wireless receiver from your computer when you're not using it, and reattach it to the storage slot underneath the mouse. This will save battery life. Doing this does not require any extra steps or cause any surprise problems for your computer functions....more info
  • funcional

  • Wonderful
I absolutely love how sleek portable and functional this little mouse is. Furthermore to option to have it wireless or usb is wonderful. Highly recommend. ...more info
  • Adds value to my laptop
I have used it for the last 48 hours, and it's a total pleasure. I don`t mean that the touch pad in my laptop was a pain in the neck, but it can be if it's the only pointing device at your disposal, mostly if you want to retouch your favourite pictures...

The size of the mouse is convenient to be stored in any laptop bagpack, because it is slim enough to fit easyly, yet the total size is about a palm what makes it very confortable to work.

It's a total plug and play device, just place the batteries in the mouse casing and plug the usb dongle to your laptop and "voila" it works.

It's a total "surplus" to my laptop experience....more info

  • Best Notebook Mouse Deal
I started looking for a notebook mouse because I decided to buy a strategy game(Homeworld 2) which would almost require a mouse for fluid gameplay. Because I own a Macbook, I originally wanted an Apple MightyMouse, but those cost an arm and a leg. So I browsed and researched notebook mice for hours spanning across 2 days before I made my purchase. I know I made the right decision now that I've had the Ci75m for roughly a month. I use it everyday with my 13" MacBook, whether I'm at home or in class. If I've got a desk and space to use it, I will.

    Pros:

-Size. Its super thin, light, and compact. You cant even tell its in my carrying cases front pocket.

-Price. This mouse is half the cost of the MightyMouse and cheaper than most other comparable mice.

-Battery Life. I've used this mouse at least a couple hours almost everyday for a month and still have yet to change the batteries. This actually surprised me as I expected it to be a weak point.

-Backup Cord. Here is an awesome useful feature most other mice don't offer. I haven't NEEDED it yet since the battery life is so great, but I did test it out my first day. Even with my MacBook having it's USB ports on the left side, the cord has enough length to reach across the back of the keyboard out of the way and have more than enough play to use the mouse normally.

    Cons:

-USB Receiver Size. It's kind of big. It sticks out 2 1/4" from your laptop.

-Long Period of Use. The mouse can get a little uncomfortable after several hours of use. But that should be expected with any notebook mouse.

-Wrapping the Cord. The cord isn't as hard to wrap as some are saying, but its not something you can do without paying attention.

  • Great at first...but it's not
Doesn't work properly, pointer sticks only after a month of use. Battery life is pretty bad too and worst of all, I had to pay shipping to send it back to Kensington for a refund. Do not recommend....more info
  • Flat, instant connection, works nice
The mouse is quite flat - most of the pictures on the Amazon page are correct but one shows a different, fatter mouse from the side, which is not this model. This mouse is like a rounded, flattened bar of used soap. It connected instantly on my laptop - it was on and working before I could get my hand to it. The internal USB cord is a nice touch you might use occasionally. (Harmless as they seem, a wireless mouse is verboten on airplanes.) The flat form is great for a briefcase. The case is unusual, it opens in two based on a magnetic closure. One different brand of mouse makes a tiny 1/4 inch usb transmitter - I wish that technology was more common as this 2" usb transmitter really sticks out and could it bumped or snapped.
If anyone can comment/reply, I would like to know, if I someday get a wireless keyboard will it likely connect through the same USB radio dongle or will I then have two dongles sticking out of my laptop. // I compared to my wife's "regular" wireless mouse and I definitely prefer traveling with a "flat" mouse in my small briefcase. ...more info

  • Perfect Mouse For Your Laptop
This mouse is extremely portable and it fits perfectly into one of the pouches in my laptop backpack. The mouse is very light and pretty comfortable to use even for a big guy like me. I especially like that you can plug the mouse into the usb adaptor if you run out of battery. I own a Macbook and the usb is on the left side and I hold the mouse with my hand, so there is just enough room to move the mouse around freely. It's rather easy to unwind the usb cord which hides inside the mouse, but sometimes it took me a few tries before I can wind it up so the case would fit back onto the mouse. Like someone else said, it takes about 6 minutes for the mouse to turn off when it's idle, but it turns right off when you plug the adaptor back into the mouse. The adaptor is also rather large, it's about 2 inches. Lastly, I've own the mouse for a few months now, and the battery life is only about 3-4 months on daily use. ...more info
  • Pretty Good!
This mouse feels a lot smaller than any other mouse you might have used. It looks great and works very smoothly.

Kensington surely is trying to revolutionize compactness....everything, including the USB dongle fits inside the mouse! Makes it really easy to carry!

    Highly recommend it. ...more info
  • I am really glad I bought it
I just got this yesterday and I couldn't plug the USB into my lap top cuz my laptop was little bit weird right now so if something comes in, it would totally get slow and I eventually have to shut the computer down.
But in any matter, despite the fear that my computer bight get slow, I pluged the USB in. and Oh my gosh.. I thought it had to go through a installing process or something. But it was about 3 seconds after I pluged in that there was a sign on the bottom left it had been installed and I am go to use the mouse. So i gave a little shake to the mouse and there it was! it was moving right away. I really like the design too. It matches with my laptop....more info
  • Stylish wireless mouse
Ci75m is my first wireless mouse. I had considered several other mouse devices before settling for this one. The orange color of Ci75m is a pure treat for the eyes. It looks great with my macbook. Even though it is thinner than conventional mouse devices, I have had no problems with the grip. I like the face that the USB wireless receiver can be fit snugly into the base of the main device when not in use. This allows easy storage and also puts the mouse into sleep mode, thus saving on batteries. The mouse also has a usb wire that can be used when wireless mode is not possible (where wireless devices are prohibited or when you run out of batteries). The wire is 'stored' between the top and bottom 'shells' of the mouse. The orange portion on the sides of the device is slightly rubbery and makes for a good grip. I have not faced any issues that are usually reported for wireless mouse devices, like slow/non-responsive cursor.

The Seattle Tacoma airport has an ongoing exhibition where they put new and innovative gadgets on display. Almost 3 months ago, I noticed this mouse device too on display. That really confirmed that Ci75m is a beautiful blend of technology and eye candy....more info
  • Great
I love this mouse. I did a little bit of research on mice before purchasing this one. It is easy to set up (just plug in and go), and use. I am not sure about battery usage because I haven't had it very long, but it works really well. I would recommend this mouse to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive wireless mouse. ...more info
  • The best mouse I've ever used!
For those of you like the wireless mouse, this is the one you should get. For those of you that are using apple macbook and macbook pro, this is a stylish mouse you want to get! The good thing about this mouse is that it use two batteries, and when the batteries die on you, you still have the wire connection inside this mouse for you to use from. Pretty good design, very thoughtful. I bought this because my husband own one in another color (black and orange), I found it very useful, therefore I pick one for myself. I like the orange and silver color better. ...more info
  • spectacular mouse, save for a few drawbacks
One of the most important accessories for a notebook user is a wireless mouse, and the Kensington Ci75m is a great choice for almost any user. I have owned this mouse for two months now and have a pretty good idea of how it functions.

This thin mouse stealthily fits into a side pocket of a backpack or case. The shape is reminiscent of the Apple mice. I use the mouse about 4 or 5 days out of the week for 5+ hours each time. Battery life has yet to be an issue for me, though there is apparently a low battery indicator light that illuminates the scroll wheel.

The scroll wheel is only vertical. Fans of horizontal scrolling should look elsewhere. Personally, I hardly ever use horizontal scrolling, but I have found myself slightly disappointed after trying to push the scroll wheel sideways in excel. The wheel also feels slicker/slippier than most other mice I've used. This may be as a result of the smaller wheel to maintain the thin profile of the mouse. The wheel does feel more grippy in warmer/more humid conditions though. Only a minor pet peeve. The wheel is also a litter higher than in usual mice. Presumably, this is to prevent the wheel from sticking out of the top. It is initially awkward to hold the mouse that high, but I have gotten used to it.

The center click requires a little more pressure than usual, but is satisfying. It performs the normal center click on PC's. In the brief times I've used the mouse on macs, the center button displays all the windows (I think it's called expose?).

One of the biggest selling points of the mouse is its ability to be used as a wired mouse. Simply lift up the magnetically secured top from the bottom of the mouse, and a wound cord is revealed. The cord plugs into a mini-usb port in the receiver. The most frustrating part of the mouse is rewinding the cord. There cannot be any slack and the cord cannot overlap itself, otherwise the plug will not make it all the way back to its place under the top. I've found it helpful to use the thin part of the usb receiver to carefully tuck in the cord as I'm winding the cord back up.

I don't game using the mouse, so there is not a noticeable lag for me. Of course, gamers may expect a degree of latency from most wireless mice. The mouse operates at 27 Mhz frequency. This was a bit disappointing as many Microsoft and Logitech notebook mice are 2.4 Ghz. The range of this mouse is about 5 ft (vs. the ~30ft of 2.4 Ghz mice).

The mouse falls asleep after about 5 minutes of inactivity. To wake the mouse up, either click a button or scroll the wheel.

I recommend this to anyone wanting a slim, portable mouse with a wired option.

    Pros:
    -attractive glossy black finish
    -very slim form factor
    -magnetically closes
    -2 AAA duracells included
-no software requird, plug and play
-wired mode for wireless restrictions or lack of batteries
    -1000 dpi
    -rubber sides
-usb receiver docks into and turns off mouse
-battery low indicator (but, I have yet to see it)

    Cons:
    -only 27 Mhz
    -must wind cord tightly
    -thin cord
-scroll wheel closer to front of mouse than usual
    -slippery scroll wheel (subjective)
    -no horizontal scroll
-rather large usb receiver (sticks out badly from a notebook)...more info

  • Great concept for a mouse, just a few little flaws
Kensington has come up with a very interesting concept for this mouse. The thin and flat design makes this a mouse that is quite compact and portable, yet it is still pretty easy to grip and control. The packaging for the mouse is easy to open, not one of those hard plastic shells that could destroy your scissors. The mouse comes with 2 AAA batteries, the manual, and the mouse itself. There is no software; you just simply plug it in and go.

The mouse performs very well, but do note that the sensor is 1000 dpi...it takes a little getting used to. The mouse glides very nicely along a wooden surface. The buttons are quite firm and solid to click, not flimsy as some well-known competitors' mice. The scroll wheel is almost as flat with the rest of the body, certainly not elevated as other mice. There is no tilt-wheel; while it would be a nice addition, the flat design seems to prevent that possibility. The edge of the mouse is rubberized, creating a very comfortable grip.

The top half of the mouse easily detaches magnetically from the rest of the mouse body. Detaching the "lid" exposes the battery compartment and a little mini-USB wire. The mini-USB wire can be unwound and enables the mouse to be used as a wired mouse when it is not possible to use it wirelessly (such as when you run out of batteries or use it on an airplane). The wire plugs into the receiver, which itself plugs into your computer's USB port. There are a few flaws to the wire, however. The wire is quite short and there could be trouble reaching a USB port. For example, if you are a right-handed Macbook/Macbook Pro user, you may have trouble trying to use the mouse wired from the USB ports on the left-hand side of the computer. Another flaw is when winding the cord back, one must take care to make sure the cord does not overlap; otherwise, there will not be enough cord left for the plug to snugly fit back into its holder...and the "lid" will not fit back on. Finally, the wire is very flimsy and does not look like it will last too long. Use sparingly.

The receiver can be tucked into the bottom of the mouse when not in use. Doing so also protects the sensor and turns off the mouse. This seems to be the only way to turn off the mouse. There is no physical on/off switch. The manual states that the mouse will go into sleep mode after several minutes of inactivity. I tested this and found the mouse to go into sleep after about 6 minutes of inactivity; a bit too long, in my opinion.

Overall, this is definitely an excellent product for those who use their laptops away from their desks frequently. I would not recommend this mouse if you stay at your desk most of the time. I would try to avoid using the mouse in its wired mode as much as possible, but it is a nice peace of mind feature for those times when you run out of battery power. I've only used the mouse for a few days, so I cannot comment on the battery life.

    Pros:
    +Flat, comfortable design
    +Battery indicator in scroll wheel
    +Sturdy build quality
+Magnetic top "lid" to access battery compartment and mini-USB wire
+No additional software needed for either PC or Mac
    +Compartment for receiver
+Wired mode for those times when wireless isn't possible

    Cons:
    -No tilt-wheel (but that's a personal preference)
    -mini-USB wire seems flimsy
-Hard to wind the mini-USB wire so it fits snugly
    -No on/off switch
-Sleep mode kicks in after 6 minutes of inactivity...more info
